When i first played it, it was the multi-player mode that took me in, and after several close races on my friends ps2 races, i decided to perchuse it.THe story mode can be frustrating at times, but i am enjoying it throughrily. The fours teams are Team Chaotic, Team Dark, team Sonic and team rose. Team rose missions are realy easy,but im not really enjoying them as much as the other misions.
Sonic missions are pretty good but can be frustraiting if u die and have to go back a long way to the last checkpoint. The only problem with the game is why did they change Dr. robotniks name to Dr.Eggman.

Yet again, Sonic has made a classic. This is the first Sonic game to come to Xbox, and it has not dissapointed. Sonic Heroes is not quite like any other Sonic game. If you are expecting another Sonic Adventure then youre in for a surprise. While Sonic Adventure had many RPG elements and was in some ways story based, Sonic Heroes goes back to the all-action style of the 2D Sonics, but obviously not 2D! It does play quite similarly however and any player of Sonic Adventure should get the hang of this very easily. Rather than choosing a character and making the most of their particular strengths, this time you get to utilise all of their skills. In each team you get 3 characters, each with 3 different strengths. These are speed, power and flight. In the case of Team Sonic for example, you have speed from Sonic, power from Knuckles and flight from Tails. Also, rather than experiencing unique benefits from these skills, you have to swap around the characters to meet the requirements of the level. This may seem complicated, but I assure you it is easy to understand and do. The game is suitable for players of all skill levels. Team Rose is designed for beginners, being beginners to these games in general, which is particularly good to the young audience this game has. Team Sonic is for the average player, still giving a challenge yet not too hard. Team Dark has an intermediate skill level. Team Chaotix is not quite like the others and is a more mission based campaign. The extent of the game is something I commend. It has, as I just said 4 campaigns. There are also various features to unlock and you will do this as you progress. This leaves the player with plenty to do, which is something you expect of a game. The game does have multiplayer capabilities. I must correct a previous reviewer on his comment on having 4 player mode. This is not true, you only can have 2 player games and link up is not available. I believe it is an excellent game, well deserving of 5 stars. There is a reason why I have given it 4, and this is because it is often frustrating, which is not good for anyone, particularly young players. I suggest that any player keeps a cool head with it, and any parents buying it for young children should keep an eye on them to make sure they arent getting worked up. Overall, a highly reccommended game for all ages.

Now first off whatever you do,dont listen to any magazine reviews you may of read about this hell of a game! As you may know Sonic and friends come together in a new twist of gamplay where you control 3 characters all at once! All the teams contain all of the best Sonic Characters ever created, Including team Chaotix! the music suits the game perfectly,the voices are great! though tails is a bit annoying at times but for some reason it suits him in my oppinion.Iff there are any problems with this game its when the camera is sometimes out of place or when you try to do a homing attack with one of the characters you sometimes go flying away from the enemy and staight off a cliff.We are given a pretty simple storyline- Another old rival of Sonics wants his revenge by collecting Data from Sonic and his friends including the ultimate life form(Shadow) Yes thats right we get to see Sonics twin come back from the dead.Though I dont want to spoil the whole thing for anyone but when you put up with some frustrating moments it is all worth it.when you get to see the Fantastic CG movies which are so good you could easily watch a film of Sonic like this! Not to mention the brilliant ending Song as you have your final battle!If you liked "live and learn " from Sonic Adventure 2 youll love this its so catchy!
And getting A ranks on every level will keep you going for ages!A Sonic fans dream (True Sonic fans!)Excited yet?P.s Espio is easily the coolest out of the game!
